Currently, with the ability to modify kit components in Inventory Manager on the Kit Components tab, a check is performed to determine if the kit is associated with any open line items. If it is, you get a warning and are not allowed to modify the kit's components.
Would like to see a possibly optional exception to have quotes not be part of the open sales line check.
A scenario would be having kit items on quotes often, and having the kit items update to the current components when transferring to an order is acceptable.

I believe this is referring to the Inventory Lookup window in SalesPad Desktop (not Inventory Manager). We certainly advocate this change since quotes will not be fulfilled before they are transferred to an order, and (as Joseph also noted) transferring a quote to an order will automatically update the kit components to the latest version.
