Prevent Deleting Manufacturing BOMs and Routings Future Consideration

We have had multiple instances where a user accidentally deleted a Manufacturing BOM or Routing. Most times they intended to delete a BOM Component or Routing Sequence, but clicked the wrong delete button by mistake and deleted the entire BOM or Routing. We would appreciate either a "Pre Delete" Script where we could trigger a warning message of our own, or else the option to require a password for deleting, similar to "Sales Document Delete Password" setting.

I am aware that is is possible to disable the delete button, but we do still need it on occasion, so that option doesn't work for us.
