Migrating to the Cavallo Core Extension

In preparation for the launch of our Analytics Applications for Business Central, we're migrating from our Distribution Cloud extension to a new Cavallo Core Extension!  If you're a current user of Distribution Cloud, you'll need to follow the below steps to migrate over to our new extension.

• Pick a time for the deploy
  • Because a data migration involves moving data around, it's best to pick a time when few users are in the system
  • Running the migration after hours is advised.

• Navigate to the “Extension Management”

  • Click on the search button at the top right of the screen

  • Search for “Extension Management”

  • Click the related link

• Locate the “Distribution Cloud” extension

  • Multiple may appear, only one should be marked as “Is Installed”.  This can be easier to view by selecting to view the page in “List” view

  • Click on the three dots menu next to the Distribution Cloud extension and choose “Uninstall”

• On the modal that opens, choose “Uninstall”

  • Make sure "Delete Extension Data" remains toggled OFF

• Install the latest version of the Cavallo Core extension from the Release Notes Page

  • The latest version of the extension is always available on the release notes page here.

  • Follow the instructions for installing extensions here.

• Install the last version of the Distribution Cloud extension

  • This version can be downloaded here.

  • Follow the instructions for installing extensions  here.

  • This final version of the Distribution Cloud extension will migrate your data to our new extension automatically!
